MOTIVATION: get out of your own way.
Sometimes we’re the only one standing in our own way. Whatever that thing is you’ve been meaning, wanting, thinking about doing - for years - it’s quite possible you’re the only one who is stopping you.
You’ve decided you can’t or you probably shouldn’t, don’t have time, can’t get around to it, haven’t found a way. You haven’t because the only way you’ve made it a priority is talking about it. But not doing it. Perhaps you’ve already made your mind up. You don’t really want to do it. Or you’re convincing yourself that it’s not really for you. You’re too afraid. You’re intimidated. Don’t accept that. Take a small step towards it. Stop expending so much energy convincing yourself you can’t/shouldn’t/won’t and use that energy to DO something about it.
Get out of your own way and get going.

MOTIVATION: keep going.
“Even when you fall on your face, you are still moving forward.”
Often it’s now whether you fail or don’t fail—but HOW you fail. Keep moving.
MOTIVATION: goals.
“Create goals. So powerful they make your toes curl.”
We’re always in search of the best version of ourselves that we can be. How do we get there? One goal at a time and all the actions we push ourselves through to achieve those goals.
I’m aiming at the DC Half Marathon this weekend. This was a goal I set in January as it has been over a year since I did a race of this length. It got me running longer distances again—lengths I’d never have run on my own without a bigger goal standing in front of me. After this I’m excited to give CrossFit a try. Bring it on, DC!
What are your goals?

MOTIVATION: personal bests!
Pictured above is Tamara in NC who is caught in the act of busting through her personal best at a recent road race. Congrats!! I will channel her speed and power this weekend at my half marathon!
What’s the personal best you’re striving to achieve??
MOTIVATION: lift off.
That first shaky moment when you realize you CAN do something.
But it’s not what you do in the moment. It’s where you take that courage from there…

MOTIVATION: your finish line.
Wherever and whatever that might be.

MOTIVATION: potential.
Where are you now in your fitness? Where would you like to be? How do you get there? You start today. You start with a few simple steps. Steps that add up into big achievement. Keep at it. Today all is possible. Start now.

“Once our eyes are opened to victories of all sizes, we can see them more easily in ourselves and in everyone else. There is no better feeling than to acknowledge someone else’s milestones, especially the little ones that they haven’t thought to celebrate. Remind them.”

Whose achievements (both big and small) will you celebrate today? Got any of your own to celebrate? I bet you do… CONGRATS!! <highfive> xoxo, MYB
